Fur-face

Just because they get looked over too often...my other babies:

The Ghostess with the Mostest

Halloween time! I love halloween. We got Rayne the cutest little costume, actually a friend gave it to us. I couldn't decide what to put her in , so it was nice my friend gave me one so I didn't have to decide.

Today was Pumpkin Patch day. Last year we went with Cliffee. It's too bad she can barely walk, it would have been fun to bring her again. We had a great time, though. Picked out a couple of pumpkins, had some yummy pumpkin pie.....then went home for a nice warm nap.

My Kid

Wow, what a great person she is. Rayne has so much personality and is always so happy. She wakes up in the morning smiling like she hasn't seen us in a week. She is now saying Bub-bub, ma-ma, and da-da. She says do-do at the dogs (once, I swear, she said doggie :) ). She rolls and scoots all over, but still not crawling. She stands up easily and can take steps while holding on - usually sideways, but forward and back when holding on to me.

The whole family is just now getting over being sick, but with Rayne in daycare I guess we will all probably be sick for the next year. Of course, our immune systems will be aces after that.

Rayne is now working on eating chunkier foods, like mandarin oranges, banana pieces, and Cheerios. She tries to get the food in her mouth by herself, but it usually falls out of her hand first (Molly is starting to love this kid thing). She ate chicken for the first time last night (Healthy Timez Little Bear's Chicken Stew) and really seemed to like it. Heck, she likes everything. Lots like mom.....

8 Months

Baby Rayne is 8 months old today! She is such a big girl, and so much fun to be around.

This weekend she got to show off her cute new raincoat. She is quite the camera ham!

She is battling a tough little cold right now, but is being a terrific sport about it.
Rayne becoming very mobile, though not yet crawling, she scoots and rolls enough that we have to keep quite an eye on her. She pulls herself up very easily, and even lets go - as long as mom is close by to catch her - to stand on her own for a minute. Not long now she'll be cruising around after poor Molly!

Weekend pics

Even though it is officially fall, this weekend felt a lot like summer with temperatures in the mid 80's. It has been great to be out and about again, after a week or so with colder temps and rain.

Baby Rayne sure is getting big, and learning more and more every day. She claps her hands now, and is a pro at waving hello and good-bye.

Her two bottom front teeth are really showing now. She is getting good at pulling herself up, and though she is a ways a way from standing on her own, she can stay up for quite a while with something to hold on to.

And, she is starting to try to crawl. She seems to not quite know what to do with one leg, that appears to be the only thing keeping her from getting going. Who knows, maybe by next weekend she'll be moving all over the place.

Race for the Cure

We chose to Sleep in for the Cure this year, rather than brave the rainy day. However, 45,000 people did brave the weather to turn out for the run/walk to raise funds and awareness for the fight against Breast Cancer. This year, Portland raised more than $909,000 for the Susan B. Koman Foundation.

Thank you to everyone who contributed in Baby Rayne's name, you helped make her the 2nd highest fund raiser on Team Nike IHM. Team IHM raised $1651, plus a $5000 additional pledge from our GM.

Love and blessings to you all.....
