Walker

Rayne started walking tonight. Back and forth between Grandma Sue and me on the kitchen floor. She was so proud of herself, going back and forth, back and forth and giggling the whole time. We spent about 20 minutes there, and another 10 on the carpet. Then, Rayne decided she would be walking all over, and started just taking off in her room, in the living room....
She really tired herself out, but still didn't want to go to sleep. Thank god her Dad is so patient - he is the night-night guy these days. Mom is the food supply (er) and play thing, so I don't get anywhere with her. with Jas, it's usually right out!
Anyway, it's exciting and scary as hell! Time to REALLY childproof!
Oh, and the look of terror on Cliffee's face! lol

Christmas

Rayne's First Christmas.
She got lots of fun stuff.... a new chair and new socks.
Then she got some cd's, books and toys, like a great basketball set from Grandma Sue, and an awesome play house from Grandma Candy.

Well, we have been snowed in for a couple of days now. Rayne first got to see the snow on the 14th, but it really started in on the 19th. Now we have amost 18"!

Christmas pictures

My friend, Teresa, did our Christmas portraits this year. They turned out fantastic. Here are some pics we took during the session, which was at Pittock Mansion on December 6th.

Crawler

Well, she made it! She's a crawlin! She started on the 6th...I remember because that was the day of her doctor's appointment where I told the doc, nope, not crawling yet! Got home, and away she went! lol My little sweetie - the mover and shaker.

9 months

Time is flying by, and I can hardly believe my baby is 9 months old. She is still growing like a weed, and learning new things all the time.

She gets around these days by doing a weird scoot/roll/sit up to change direction/scoot/roll maneuver. Thankfully, she doesn't move too fast, but still can get around nicely. You can see the almost perpetual look of panic on Cliffee's face. She still doesn't know how to deal with being "attacked" by a baby. Molly loves it, though.

Rayne is really trying to walk. She pulls herself up and walks/cruises with help very well. We gave her a push/ride on toy for her 9 month b-day and let her loose. She seems to like the riding part better than the walking part, though!

Rayne is eating finger foods (another thing Molly loves) and we are starting to use a cup for milk now, rather than for just water. While we are not necessarily going vegetarian with her, she doesn't eat meat very much. Not that she doesn't like it. When we go out to eat, we usually try to get her something from the menu, like an egg or some potatoes. She like to eat what we eat.

Rayne is now only at daycare for 2 days a week, Grandma Sue watches her the other 3 days. They get along nicely, and it's great for Rayne to be at home more, although we will add another day at school as she starts walking and talking so she can play with people her own age more.

Trick -or-Treat!

Rayne got to trick-or-treat this year with her friend Tyler, who was dressed up as Batman. We went out for about half an hour, then went home to hand out candy. Rayne loved to see all those people out.

The dogs love to answer the door for the trick-or-treaters, and get lots of pets and complements.

Halloween Party #2

On Halloween, all of the kids at Rayne's school got to dress up in their costumes, and we had a little mini-party in her class. It was quite a chore getting all those infants ready for a picture!

Rayne loves her class, and plays a lot with Slater and Nicole.

Halloween Party

Halloween was so much fun this year. It started with a party at our friend's house Saturday before Halloween. It was mainly for the kids, and Rayne had so much fun watching then run around and play. She was the smallest one there, and the cutest, of course!
